2 out of 5 starsAfter 12 days I messaged seller to see if this had shipped. No response. I sent 2 more messages with no response. Finally got a shipping email on day 15. Three days later no movement, hadn’t been taken to the post office. Seller finally messaged me and I asked it to be shipped immediately or refund me. It was shipped next day. Horrible communication. Beautiful piece but will not order from again.

3 out of 5 starsThe little clay essential oil pendant pot is very cute and made very well. It’s just a very small pot and doesn’t seem to be holding my essential oil odor for very long at all. I have purchased from this seller before - my old essential oil, clay pot pendant broke, and that one retained the oil smell for much longer time, but she doesn’t make that style anymore. It did come packaged very nicely securely.

I remember seeing a piece of Raku Pottery in a gallery somewhere when I was a little person, and thinking WOW, that is what I want to do. I still feel the same way about it every time.

What is Dichroic Glass
Multiple ultra-thin layers of different metal oxides (gold, silver, titanium, chromium, aluminum, zirconium, magnesium, silicon) are vaporized by an electron beam in a vacuum chamber. The vapor then condenses on the surface of the glass in the form of a crystal structure. This is sometimes followed by a protective layer of quartz crystal. The finished glass can have as many as 30 to 50 layers of these materials yet the thickness of the total coating is approximately 30 to 35 millionths of an inch (about 760 to 890 nm). The coating that is created is very similar to a gemstone and, by careful control of thickness, different colors are obtained.
What is Raku Ceramic
The term Raku refers to a rapid firing technique, adapted from ancient Japanese firing traditions. Most of the work I do is done with hand building techniques. Wet clay is formed into the desired shape and or finished and left to dry for up to 2 days before going on to the first firing stage. Pieces are then bisque fired, glazed, and taken in the molten red hot stage to be Raku fired. This requires bringing the kiln to a temperature of 1800 degrees F. and taking each piece individually to the Raku firing container for the final part of the process. The resulting combustion in the Raku environment brings metals in the glaze to the surface and is always unpredictable and beautiful.
Sustainable Product Materials
Many of my pieces have a heavy nature influence. Use of real plant inspired products gives us all an opportunity for reflection and thoughtfulness for the importance that Mother Nature has in all of our lives and I love being able to make for you treasured nature tokens to use in your daily routines.
Hemp, silk, cotton, copper, brass, bronze, tin, silver, earth clay, glass, river stones and naturally formed ore and minerals are the material focus for most of my jewels.
