Note from shop owner I WILL BE AWAY FROM THE STUDIO. CONVO ME WITH PRODUCT INQUIRY AND I WILL GET BACK WITH YOU ASAP. THANK YOU FOR YOUR AWESOME SUPPORT AND INTERACTION!

Thank you for taking a minute to view my work! Everything here is handmade with a feature in either hand formed ceramic or glass. I love to play in the fire and need lots of excuses to do so. I try to use recycled or natural materials whenever possible and order materials from vendors on Etsy and components made in the US.

I hope you (or someone you love) will come away with something today, that you will get lots of compliments on and be so happy with the experience that you will shop with me again in the near future.

Everything goes out USPS First Class or Priority Mail. Feel Free to convo or email me with any questions you may have. All jewelry items will arrive with a gift box and product description card.

All jewelry orders will arrive with beautiful gift wrapping and lovely product description cards so you won't have to worry about shipping a gift to another location. Just use the recipients mailing address in the order ship to field and add a gift note in the message to seller box.

What is Dichroic Glass

Multiple ultra-thin layers of different metal oxides (gold, silver, titanium, chromium, aluminum, zirconium, magnesium, silicon) are vaporized by an electron beam in a vacuum chamber. The vapor then condenses on the surface of the glass in the form of a crystal structure. This is sometimes followed by a protective layer of quartz crystal. The finished glass can have as many as 30 to 50 layers of these materials yet the thickness of the total coating is approximately 30 to 35 millionths of an inch (about 760 to 890 nm). The coating that is created is very similar to a gemstone and, by careful control of thickness, different colors are obtained.

What is Raku Ceramic

The term Raku refers to a rapid firing technique, adapted from ancient Japanese firing traditions. Most of the work I do is done with hand building techniques. Wet clay is formed into the desired shape and or finished and left to dry for up to 2 days before going on to the first firing stage. Pieces are then bisque fired, glazed, and taken in the molten red hot stage to be Raku fired. This requires bringing the kiln to a temperature of 1800 degrees F. and taking each piece individually to the Raku firing container for the final part of the process. The resulting combustion in the Raku environment brings metals in the glaze to the surface and is always unpredictable and beautiful.

Sustainable Product Materials

Many of my pieces have a heavy nature influence. Use of real plant inspired products gives us all an opportunity for reflection and thoughtfulness for the importance that Mother Nature has in all of our lives and I love being able to make for you treasured nature tokens to use in your daily routines.

Hemp, silk, cotton, copper, brass, bronze, tin, silver, earth clay, glass, river stones and naturally formed ore and minerals are the material focus for most of my jewels.
